Matthew J. Duensing has been a resident of the Virgin Islands since 1988. He began the practice of law in the State of Illinois as a criminal prosecutor with the Office of the Attorney General and later joined the St. Louis, Missouri firm of Thompson & Mitchell. There he began his practice in Insurance Defense, Banking and Admiralty, representing commercial interests involved in finance and shipping. In 1988, he moved to St. Thomas, continuing his practice in litigation involving Insurance Defense, Banking and Admiralty. In 1991, he became a partner with the firm.
